Karim Bagheri is a retired Iranian football player born on February 23, 1974, in Tehran, Iran. He was a versatile midfielder who could play in both defensive and attacking positions. Bagheri started his career at Keshavarz in Iran before moving to Persepolis and then later to Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia.
Bagheri also had a successful international career, representing Iran in three World Cups (1998, 2006, and 2014) and helping the team win the Asian Cup in 1996. Bagheri retired from football in 2015 and has since worked as a coach. He was appointed as the head coach of the Iranian national team in 2019 but resigned after just a few months. Bagheri is often considered one of the best Iranian footballers of his generation.
